Innovation and Collaboration for a Circular Textile Future at Munich Fabric Start
Fulgar and the Key Role of Technology in Textile Circularity
Circularity is no longer just an option—it is a necessity for the future of fashion and textiles. At MUNICH FABRIC START, during the panel discussion dedicated to circularity, the urgency of transforming our industry to reduce environmental impact and operate within planetary boundaries became abundantly clear.
Fulgar is proud to have contributed to this critical conversation through the intervention of Daniela Antunes, our Marketing Manager, who shared our vision and commitment to building a more sustainable supply chain. The discussion addressed key topics: the fundamental role of technological innovation, from new recycling solutions to digital product passports for enhanced traceability; the importance of collaboration among brands, suppliers, and recyclers to create an effective circular system; and the need for regulatory frameworks that incentivize sustainable practices while discouraging the use of virgin materials.
Fulgar has already embraced this path through products like Q-CYCLE® and Q-NOVA®, designed with a circular approach to meet the textile sector's sustainability needs.
Q-CYCLE®, developed in collaboration with BASF, is an innovative yarn made from end-of-life tires using a certified mass balance approach. This product offers a valid alternative to virgin fossil-based materials, focusing on traceability and waste reduction.
Q-NOVA® is an eco-sustainable polyamide fiber made from regenerated raw materials through a mechanical process with a low environmental impact. This yarn significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and water consumption while ensuring excellent performance and versatility.
These yarns are concrete examples of how we can combine technology, collaboration, and vision to transform the industry. We extend our gratitude to the organizers and all participants for fostering a dialogue rich in value and inspiration. Fulgar will continue to work towards building a more sustainable future for fashion and textiles.
