Polyamide was later adopted for a wide range of civilian applications, including clothing and hosiery, transforming the textile and fashion industry. As well as being extremely durable, polyamide made it possible to create garments that were strong, elastic, stable, water-repellent and easy to wash.

Now, almost a century later, this synergy between science and fashion continues to evolve in extraordinary ways.
